How do I access the AVL?

Information on the Alabama Virtual Library.

Answer

The Alabama Virtual Library [AVL] is the State of Alabama digital library. AVL is a legislated entity governed by a board of representatives from Higher Education, Community College System, K12, Public Libraries and the Alabama Supercomputer Authority.

The JSCC Libraries website includes all Alabama Virtual Library college-level databases.

The JSCC Libraries also provide a link to the AVL from its home page [bottom left]; just click the AVL logo to access.

The AVL no longer requires a username and password for access.  Access is provided to anyone within the geographical boundary of the state.
